The FEROE cold gaiters help cool both the horse's limb and foot. They have 4 elastic pockets:

  • 2 large pockets for the member
  • 2 small foot pockets

Ideal after intense exercise to ensure better recovery as well as in case of injuries to reduce inflammation, swelling and pain to speed up healing.

They can be used with ice cubes as well as cold gel packs.

Made of non-perforated neoprene to keep the cold out as much as possible while in contact with the horse. They adapt perfectly to the horse's limb and foot thanks to the flexibility of the neoprene and close easily with three adjustable Velcro straps on the limb and one for the foot.

COLD GEL PACKS

A cold gel pack is a bag filled with a blue gel that can be chilled in the freezer. The cold gel aids in recovery, reducing inflammation, swelling, and pain. It's a great alternative to using ice.

We offer a complete package including:

  • The Féroé pair of cold gaiters
  • 4 large cold gel packs for the limb
  • 4 small cold gel pockets for the foot

USING COLD GEL PACKS

To use a cold gel pack, place it in a plastic bag before placing it in the freezer. Let it cool for at least two hours. Once the cold gel pack is cold:

  • Remove it from the freezer
  • Slide the gel packs into the elastic pockets
  • Leave the cold gel pack in place for up to 20 minutes
  • Repeat application every 2 to 3 hours, if necessary.

Here are some additional tips for using a cold gel pack safely:

  • Do not place the cold gel pack directly on the skin.
  • Do not leave the pouch in place for more than 20 minutes at a time. This could cause tissue damage.
